On Thanksgiving (today) in the United States, many people reflect upon what they are grateful for in life.
However, gratitude is essential in life. It should be expressed daily. Gratitude is a practice that prevents complaining, which creates big blockages in every aspect of life.
Here is a practice you can do every day for the rest of your life. It uses the Four Power Techniques® created by my teacher, Master Sha.
Body Power: Sit up straight. Close your eyes.
Soul Power: Say, Dear soul, mind, and body of Gratefulness, I love you. Please bless me so I can be more grateful in my life every day. Thank you. Dear my soul, heart, mind, and body, I love you. Fully open to express gratefulness from every aspect of my being. Do a good job. Thank you.
Mind Power: Visualize yourself in your abdomen sitting on a lotus flower. Whatever things come to you in your practice, express sincere gratitude to them. Some thoughts or memories that may come may be joyful and blessed. Some may be painful and sad. Both need gratitude. Healing can start to occur when love, forgiveness and gratitude are expressed.
Sound Power: Chant, I am grateful. I am grateful. I am grateful. I am grateful. over and over again.
Closing: Say, Hao. Hao. Hao. (Pronouced ‘How’. It means “perfect, fantastic, get well” in Chinese.) Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Frequency: Do this practice for at least five minutes. The longer and more often you do this practice, the more benefits you can receive.
